hello — glad you found this page

Prabhat Tiwari

Curiosity, ideas, and things worth building.

I’m interested in technology, finance, artificial intelligence, and the ideas that connect them. This is a place to share what I’m exploring, what I’m learning, and the projects taking shape along the way.

no. 01An introduction

A little about me.

I’m a student and an independent learner, most curious where technology, finance and everyday problems overlap.

I like understanding how things actually work: how money moves through a business, why one digital product feels effortless and another doesn’t, what a new AI system is genuinely good at. My reading wanders between AI, markets, business, the internet, and the newer experiments in digital ownership.

Some questions stay questions. Some turn into notes and small experiments. A few turn into products, and six of those are further down this page.

no. 02Open questions

Things I keep exploring.

interests, not credentials —
still learning every one of these.

  1. Artificial Intelligence

Exploring AI capabilities, practical applications, and the systems changing how people work and create.

  2. Technology & Digital Products

An interest in the internet, websites, software products, digital tools, and open-source ecosystems.

  3. Finance & Markets

Exploring financial systems, business economics, investing, markets, and capital allocation.

  4. Web3 & Digital Economies

An interest in blockchain technology, decentralized systems, digital ownership, and emerging internet infrastructure.

  5. Business & Entrepreneurship

Understanding how ideas become products, how businesses operate, and how useful ventures can be developed.

  6. Independent Learning

Investigating unfamiliar topics, asking questions, and connecting ideas across disciplines.

no. 03Selected projects

Six products, built one at a time.

Each one starts from a job I kept seeing done by hand: reading invoices, rebuilding monthly reports, wiring steps together, reading website traffic, testing APIs, making screens for data. Together they’re one collection, and each is marked for exactly where it stands.

Document intelligence

DocuMind

live Live and working

From a stack of GST invoices to data you can check.

A GST invoice reader and checker. Drop in PDF invoices or photos of paper bills, and DocuMind pulls out the fields that matter, checks them, and flags what doesn’t add up.

for — Small businesses, accountants and anyone who reconciles purchase bills by hand.

What it does:

  • Reads text PDFs, scans and phone photos, with on-device OCR (English, and Hindi or mixed bills)
  • Extracts GSTINs, invoice numbers, dates, taxable values, tax heads and line items
  • Checks the arithmetic, GSTINs and line-item totals, and reads e-invoice QR codes
  • Matches bills against a GSTR-2B download and exports to Excel or CSV

how it’s built → Runs entirely in the browser: no backend, no uploads, and it works offline after the first visit. Built with React and TypeScript; released as v1 and improved in four phases since.

Financial reporting

FinPilot

being built First version in progress

Give accounting data a clearer monthly story.

A reporting tool that turns accounting exports from Tally or Excel into a structured profit-and-loss statement, a monthly MIS and a budget-versus-actual view.

for — Business owners, accountants and finance teams who rebuild the same monthly report by hand.

What the first version is being built to do:

  • Imports Tally Day Book and Trial Balance exports (XML or Excel), or a plain CSV
  • Maps ledgers to Schedule III-style MIS heads, suggested automatically and confirmed by you
  • Monthly P&L with gross, EBITDA and net margins, key ratios and trends
  • Budget vs actual with favourable and unfavourable variances, exported to Excel or PDF

how it’s built → Being built now as a browser-only app, so the books never leave the device. It reuses the India-specific finance groundwork from DocuMind.

Workflow automation

FlowForge

on the drawing board In design · not built yet

A trigger, a sequence, a useful outcome.

A workflow tool built around one simple model: something happens, and an ordered list of steps runs in response.

for — Small teams with repetitive work that should run on its own, and be easy to inspect when it doesn’t.

The design:

  • Triggers from a schedule, a webhook or a form submission
  • Steps that run in order, with every run logged
  • A clear view of what ran, what failed and why
  • Rerun a failed step without restarting the whole workflow

Web analytics

InsightOS

on the drawing board In design · not built yet

Understand the traffic. Leave the person alone.

Lightweight website analytics: page views, referrers and popular pages, and nothing that profiles individual visitors.

for — Site owners who want useful numbers without a heavy tracking script or a cookie banner.

The design:

  • Page views, referrers and top pages
  • No cookies, no cross-site tracking, no visitor profiles
  • One small script; only aggregated numbers are kept
  • A plain dashboard that can be shared with a team or a client

API testing

APIForge

on the drawing board In design · not built yet

A clearer conversation between request and response.

An API client for sending HTTP requests and checking every response against an OpenAPI specification, so contract mismatches show up early.

for — Developers and testers working with HTTP APIs.

The design:

  • Send requests to any HTTP API from the browser
  • Collections with environments and variables
  • Validate responses against an OpenAPI contract and list what doesn’t match
  • Export a collection as a file

Database interfaces

ZenBase

on the drawing board In design · not built yet

Less repetitive interface work. More time with the data.

Connect a database, and ZenBase reads its tables and generates list, detail and editing screens for them.

for — Teams who keep rebuilding the same admin screens for everyday data work.

The design:

  • Connects to a database and reads its tables
  • Generates list, detail and edit screens for each table
  • Adjust fields, filters and who can edit what
  • Share the screens with a team

no. 04A foundation

Commerce, and the systems behind it.

An academic background in commerce, with undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the subject, and a strong interest in finance, markets, and the systems that shape businesses.

it’s also why a reporting tool like FinPilot is on the list

no. 05Certifications & learning

Learning, documented.

Professional certifications first, each linked to the issuer’s own record. Courses, job simulations and learning badges are kept separately below.

I’m still learning, still asking questions, and still figuring out what I can build.
